Pamela Smith, Founder
Hailing from Colon, Panama, Pamela's journey is a testament to resilience and diverse experiences. As a teenager, she made the significant move to Brooklyn, New York from Panama, laying the foundation for a life marked by service and entrepreneurial ventures.
At the age of 18, Pamela enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as a Personnel Clerk—a role that instilled discipline and a sense of duty. Following her military service, she dedicated 19 years to the U.S. Postal Service, where she excelled as a mail carrier and manager.
Pamela's multifaceted career also boasts a rich background in event coordination, managing multiple music festivals and special events.
In 2000, she earned a Business Accounting Certificate from Monterey Peninsula College, further solidifying her skills. Two years later, Pamela became a Registered Tax Preparer accredited by the California Tax Education Council (CTEC). Now, with 23 years of experience as a Registered Tax Preparer, Pamela's expertise in the financial realm is unparalleled.
Driven by a passion for serving the Latin community, Pamela founded Wenona Tax. Recognizing the underrepresentation of this community, she leveraged her fluency in both English and Spanish to bridge the gap.
Starting as a sole-proprietor under Wenona Tax in 2008, Pamela took a significant step in 2023, incorporating as Wenona Tax Company LLC.

Asia Smith, Owner
Asia, a Seaside native, embodies the spirit of her hometown.
A true all-rounder, Asia's early years were marked by a passion for sports—basketball, softball, and volleyball. This dedication spilled over into academia as she pursued an Associates Degree in Business, balancing her love for sports with her commitment to education.
Transitioning to California State University, Monterey Bay, Asia further honed her business acumen, graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. Her academic journey culminated in a noteworthy Capstone project—a Strategic Analysis of Wenona Tax Service. Since then, Asia has been an instrumental force in Wenona Tax Company's growth, contributing significantly to business development for nearly a decade.
Today, Asia holds a license as a tax preparer accredited by the California Tax Education Council (CTEC), specializing in Tax Planning & Strategy. Her focus extends beyond the numbers—she plays a pivotal role in steering business development and spearheading marketing initiatives for Wenona Tax Company.
